My Wet Calvin

My Wet Calvin was formed during the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and support the Athens 2004+ campaign for the salvation of this city after the games. Leon and Ar Ar, formery potential guitar heroes, aim to overcome their technological ignorance in order to produce digitally processed music. As a result, an analog-like vibe without retro or futuristic angles is born. MwC give out their cds (usually for free) every time they perform live, carefully packed in a sense of a want-to-have object. "My Greatest Hits" was their debut free-cd (dec/2004) while "Have A Tangerine!" was served during their Lali Puna support appearance (apr/2005). Brand new "Hercut" appeared on their recent show at Gagarin 2005.

The Callas

The Callas

With DIY ethic at work, The Callas's 4-track recordings channel the spirit of late 1970s Brit punk and post-punk, but with infectious pop sensibilities and plenty of garage rock edge. The Callas have very eccentric ways of presenting their work through installations, constructions, 'dirty' sounds and Superman costumes that turn their performances into cult happenings. They distribute their music through their own label Out of Tune! Records, publish the monthly arty magazine VELVET and present visual art works in different exhibitions. They have performed as Callas at BIOS, The Breeder gallery and DESTE Foundation among others.

TeamStrut

TeamStrut

Teamstrut is black and white. Artists Thodoris, Nicolas and Veanous live in New York, London and Athens. They publish Mother magazine, bringing international artists and fashionistas very close. Teamstrut created a stir in Athens for the design of the advertising for the infamous dance show "2", the 666 art shows, and their disco nuanced parties that helped on the revival of 90's hot spot Booze bar. Their "Let's Dance! Fight! Party" Dj Set will continue on their tradition to infiltrate music and performance, pompousness and satire, taking italo-disco and the charm of the ephemeral very seriously. They Enjoy inverting anything Athenian. Viva Italia!
